Roof windows

Old roof windows mist up, let in draughts and start to leak around the flashing. A like-for-like replacement is usually done in a day from inside the loft or from a roof ladder. Adding a new window means cutting the rafters and trimming the opening, which counts as building work and needs signing off.

Roof cleaning

Moss holds water against tiles and can lift them in a frost. We clear it by hand and with gentle cleaning, then treat the roof so it's slower to come back. We don't blast roofs with high-pressure jets, which can strip the surface off concrete tiles and shorten their life.

If the tiles underneath are crumbling, cleaning won't fix that, and we'll tell you honestly.
