Which flat roof?
EPDM rubber
One seamless rubber sheet with no joints to leak. Our most popular choice for garages and extensions.
Often 20 to 30 years or more.
GRP fibreglass
A hard, seamless finish you can walk on. Neat edges, good for roofs people step onto.
Often 25 years or more.
Torch-on felt
Three layers of modern felt. The traditional choice and usually the cheapest.
Typically 15 to 20 years.
Liquid coating
Coated over an existing roof that's still sound underneath. Quick and less disruptive.
Only if the deck is dry and solid.
What's included

- Checking the deck boards, and replacing any that are soft or rotten (priced separately)

Can you go over my old felt?
Sometimes, with a liquid coating, if the roof underneath is dry and solid. If water has got into the deck, covering it just traps the problem, so we'd always strip it back.
Do I need insulation?
If the roof is over a heated room, such as a kitchen extension or a dormer, replacing it means it should be brought up to current insulation standards. Garages and porches usually don't need it.
How long does it take?
A single garage is usually one to two days. An extension or dormer takes two to four days, depending on the weather and whether the deck needs replacing.
